Understated sophistication of a stationary

Many of us have been accustomed lately in using our fingers to press keys and glide through in tablets like Ipad instead of having a pen gripped in between our fingers and exercise are thoughts through writing. Some would say that stationaries have become obsolete but many would disagree specially with a leather-bound journal from Smythson of Bond Street.

Smythson is an acclaimed British luxury maker of stationaries and leather goods and famed for supplying items to the British royal family since 1887. The noble heritage of this luxury brand for over 125 years remains visible in its design and identifiable in every fine material used in each of its items.

And take note, this brand had survived two world wars and pretty much relevant till date despite the technology revolutions of late.:-)

I like this leather pattern and has metal folder mechanism to keep the leather in  its real form.

This leather-bound organizer comes with a metallic pencil too. The thread linings are pretty consistent  which sets it as a luxury accessory.
I appreciate those side compartments of varying sizes.
And for those who no longer appreciate much being in the old world of writing, Smythson offers leather cases for iPad2 and Kindle too. Who says that a Royal supplier can be a snob? LOL

Now this is confusing, which is a more better purchase - the kindle or the leather case? LOL

This is made of carefully selected embossed-crocodile leather. This is dyed using  aniline tanning method to ensure it retains its supple and refined look in brown color.

This comes with a handy foldable back that allows you to prop it up at an ideal angle.

The clean lines and the lining adds to its luxurious appeal.

Being "royal" does not necessarily limit the color to black or brown, Smythson offers items in other colors too to satisfy other tastes.

My personal favorite is the document case from Smythson's Grosvenor collection.

This leather item comes either as single or double case.

This case is sleek, tailored and made of French calf leather with solid brass look.
For those luxury leather fans, owning such piece from Smythson is like taking pride of more than a hundred years of British heritage with smart-classic style.:-)

Cheers!
